A significant number of doctors, 429, have resigned from 20 AIIMS institutions between 2022 and 2024, with AIIMS Delhi experiencing the highest number of departures. This exodus coincides with a critical shortage of faculty, as nearly one-third of faculty positions remain vacant across all AIIMS.
