Following a 10-day ultimatum from former minister KA Sengottaiyan demanding the readmission of expelled members, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami retaliated by removing Sengottaiyan from key party positions, including organization secretary and Erode suburban west district secretary. Palaniswami also dismissed several of Sengottaiyan’s supporters from their respective posts after a meeting with senior party leaders in Dindigul.
