Hemant Soren has been elected as the new president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), succeeding his father Shibu Soren, who now holds the title of ‘Founder Patron’. This decision was made during the party’s 13th ‘Mahaadhiveshan’. The JMM, a key member of the Congress-led INDIA bloc, leads the ruling coalition in Jharkhand.
