Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen proclaimed December 6th as “A Day of Remembrance for Mahatma Gandhi” and unveiled a statue of Gandhi at the State Capitol in Lincoln. This marks the first such statue in the nine states under the Seattle Indian Consulate’s jurisdiction, honouring Gandhi’s legacy of peace and non-violence.
