Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath congratulated Rekha Gupta on being named Delhi CM but will miss her swearing-in ceremony. Gupta, a BJP MLA from Shalimar Bagh, began her political career in 1992 and has held various significant positions within the party. BJP won 48 out of 70 seats in the 2025 Delhi assembly elections.
